Big Sky Tent and Party Rental was conceived in 1998 by Jim and Anne-Marie Eddy while planning their own Martha’s Vineyard tent wedding. Responding to the Island’s need for a service-oriented, upscale party rental company, we abandoned our corporate careers and set out to create a company that could truly fulfill the expectations of Vineyard brides and grooms, corporate event planners and private party hosts.

The first step was to assemble an inventory of tents and party rental items that were unique, stylish and of a higher quality than was currently available on the Island. We found a small sail loft in Marion, Massachusetts that manufactured beautiful, architecturally designed tension tents with sailcloth tops, hand-hewn wooden poles and long, graceful pennant flags on the peaks. We signed on as the Island’s exclusive source for these Sperry Sailcloth Tents and as event planners, caterers and clients discovered their unique beauty, we became the fastest growing tent and party rental company on the Island.

To compliment our awesome tents, we have assembled an ever-expanding collection of tablecloths, tableware and furnishings, often looking outside of the traditional rental store supplier market to find items on the cutting edge of contemporary style.
